Encompassing the entire year's worth of shows (i.e. Sons of Anarchy is on in the fall, Justified is in the spring, but they'd each count 1 hour), and no DVR "rounding" (i.e. a 30 minute comedy counts 30 minutes, not 22). And you get a pass on any "extended" episodes that might pop up throughout the season (90-minute season finales, back-to-back new episodes on a random week)
