You have to give the people a reason to come to the games. We did a good job showing up when we first made the ACC, because the excitement was there, made the tournament and the excitement was there, but then everything just kind of leveled off and it didn't go anywhere from there. Over time you're going to start to lose people...
Time and time again we're reminded about Tech's lack of basketball tradition, history, and success and how it makes recruits and coaches not want to come here. Well, that goes for the fans, too. We keep getting told how we'll "Never be Duke or UNC" which is understandable, but with that comes the given that Cassell will never be Cameron or the Dean Dome.
I don't know that it's fair to expect Duke level fandom without Duke level success.
