For example, look at this screenshot below. Why would they allow a 3 and a 5 separated by 3 seats taken. Why would it not "clean up" the middle taken 3, and slide them left or right,a nd create 8 consecutive seats. That would allow for two groups of 4, or four groups of 2.

I pick on June 6 and I am in the 10,000 range of Hokie Club members. We started this shindig on April 23 (I think?), which would mean 33 weekdays of people picking before me. 33 * 210 = 6930. Sure, not all Hokie Club members have football season tickets ... but somehow, I doubt there are 3000+ in front of me that don't.
I pick on May 9. Based on 200-210 per day, that would be in the 2,400-2,500 range. I am number 2,430 or so. So that seems to be about right. Check your priority number and see if it is in the 6,900 range. My guess is that you are a Silver Hokie.

I pick on May 8th, at a priority of approx 2200, so that also jives with the calculation. I had figured 200 per day, but it could also be 210.

Well, when I picked in person last week, a Hokie Club official used "a little over 200 per day" number when I asked that question.

Sounds crazy to me. They have the whole place to pick from. The rest of us have to search through a bunch of sections to find something decent. We are the ones who need more time. LOL !!!

Can you log in a couple of weeks early and see what is still available?

Also, you had a good chunk of people that get to retain seats they've had since Lane opened. Those are kind of scattered about, but it is a pretty decent chunk. They can't pick different seats, they have to take what they've had since 196x whatever it was.

The only way to get a real handle on it was to be online then, before it started, and see what was taken out of play before people started picking. Day 1 looked scary, like it would fill up before the week was out, but now it really is moving much slower.

The issue I have is that priority doesn't mean crap right now - the number of tickets you bought does. You stand to get primo seats if you are getting 3, because a group of 3 is death to somebody buying 2 or 4 - they can't do it. Also, if 5 are in a row together, if you are getting 4, you are screwed.
I would really like to track it but can't seem to find the place to see what is already taken.

I just said ... my number is around 10K (it's over 10K, I don't remember exactly what it was)

Lot 2 was all available to start with. The powers that be, Steger, Weaver, et al, take spots in lot 4. That's why it filled up so fast.

Yes you can. Just log in with you ticket acct. #, and PIN, and click on select. You can see what's available in real time, seats and parking. I've been following it since day on, 4/24. My pick time is Monday @ 12:30, so I have all weekend to look at my options.
