1 person every 2 min. 7 hour day. 210 people a day.

That can't be right. Could it be that they increase the rate as the process goes along (ie, more time for important donors, but less time for peons like me)?
I pick on June 6 and I am in the 10,000 range of Hokie Club members. We started this shindig on April 23 (I think?), which would mean 33 weekdays of people picking before me. 33 * 210 = 6930. Sure, not all Hokie Club members have football season tickets ... but somehow, I doubt there are 3000+ in front of me that don't.----------------

No, I looked at it very early on and it was mostly empty. Keep in mind that there are several front and center rows on the west side that are reserved for player family members, so those were blocked off early.
If 210/day is right and we've gone 9 days, that's 1890 customers. I think you get 6 or 8 tickets, so figure an average of 6 (because a lot of the high donors are taking club seats and we're excluding those.) So that's 11K seats.
The west side center sections (below the chairbacks) seat about 1100ish and from eyeballing it, we've got about the equivalent of five of those gone on each side. So figure there might be 500 reserved seats in that area and we're looking at approximately 10500 seats spoken for. So we're basically right on the money.----------------

Not sure of the priority number, but Platinum and above can get 6, everybody else in the HC 4, IIRC.

Did you get online on the day it started? There were some fairly significant chunks of tickets set aside before it ever started. Several hundred get set aside for players families. There is a chunk of 'admin' tickets that people like Weaver, Steger, et al get to give out, and they aren't bad seats, as is the case with parking, Steger gets a huge chunk of lot 2 to give out to people on a game by game basis, pretty much a couple full rows of lot 2.
Also, you had a good chunk of people that get to retain seats they've had since Lane opened. Those are kind of scattered about, but it is a pretty decent chunk. They can't pick different seats, they have to take what they've had since 196x whatever it was.
The only way to get a real handle on it was to be online then, before it started, and see what was taken out of play before people started picking. Day 1 looked scary, like it would fill up before the week was out, but now it really is moving much slower.
The issue I have is that priority doesn't mean crap right now - the number of tickets you bought does. You stand to get primo seats if you are getting 3, because a group of 3 is death to somebody buying 2 or 4 - they can't do it. Also, if 5 are in a row together, if you are getting 4, you are screwed.

Yeah, I don't understand why they aren't stopping holes from getting created. For instance, right now in second place, there's one row that has 2 empty, 2 taken, 2 empty, 2 taken, 2 empty, and 2 taken. Or further down in that same section, there are three empty, 2 taken, and 5 empty.
Why don't they prevent holes from getting created like that or else have some kind of process every night that fills the holes in?

What a nightmare! The twos should not be allowed to break up big chunks of seats. I don't understand why they would do that. If I was getting two seats I wouldn't leave a hole. I can see wanting aisle seats but if you have to sit next to someone, why not just select the ones next to the others? I'm hoping to stack 3 rows of 4, or 2 rows of 6. I'm really worried I'm going to be in the ozones.
