At this point, I've got my fingers crossed the iPhone 5 has NFC technology. Once it's in iPhones, there will be a ton of new uses for it. Apple has done a great job at marketing the iPhone as "the" smartphone. A little pre-purchase research shows that to not be the case, but plenty of consumers are willing to make that purchase without any research because it's what their friend has.

still chuckle at how Apple has changed what it is - used to be about content, now it's about the brand. kudos to them for making the change and becoming worse than Microsoft, you know the company they claimed was the devil.
