this team needs to be blown up. They play with such a lack of effort/desire on the little things, they will never make it back to the finals. Need a coach that drives this point home, don't know if Dale Hunter is the man to do that, to early to tell.
One thing is for sure, NY is playing like their hair is on fire. Caps playing like it is a preseason game.

They keep playing like this, it will only take 4 games.
NY is faster, stronger, and want it more than the Caps. Seen this to many times to even bother keeping count anymore.

Agreed. However, the Caps have to do a better job of possessing the puck and generating chances. While the Rangers didn't get many shots on net today, the Caps fell a little too much in love with collapsing in their own zone and blocking shots, instead of pressuring the puck carrier. Not a recipe for success for teams who contend for the Cup.

They lost Game 1 vs. the Stanley Cup Champs and won the series. Not worried yet. Lose Game 2, forget it
