No one got away, but he is trying "not" to get caught with the Big Fish got away like what happened with Littlepage at UVa. The "everything he can" part is about leaks that throw the media and the boards off the track of what he is doing. I find it interesting that thus far the only media report or false report was an assistant coach and they have all been saying no way we get Shaka...or for that fact any head coach. So far, he is managing expectations...quite well...so far. However, just like the game...it is how it ends that matters and it can get away fast!

Well based on what is being said, an interesting nibble, that is probably trying to pull a Frank Beamer. Not only is he negotiating for himself...he is negotiating for his assistant coaches too. Frank knew what he was doing when he set up to keep his assistants...that's why he almost went to UNC. However, if the numbers get to large, then we may already have a snag.

Sometimes if you want to compete you need to break the bank. I wish we would do this in Basketball as well. We'll see what comes from it.

It really comes down to how much they can get from the big contributors. The negotiating is not only with the coach...in fact the coach is sometimes the easy part.
