Anyone else hearing strong vibes about Steve Prohm?

I've had two people email me within the last 5 minutes saying he's looking like "The Guy" right now.

I think it's fair to say that he's on the radar for sure. Don't know if he is "The guy" or if there is even a "The Guy" at the moment. But I do think he's one of "The Guys".

My concern is he was only HC 1 year so he won with his previous coaches players. I'm not trying to downplay the record he had this year, but the sample size is quite small.

NOTE: He won with his players as well. He helped build that team.

This is not like the Mike London story at Richmond. Prohm was a KEY to building that Murray St. team over the last 6 years. It's hard to say if he was just riding Kennedy's coat tails for the last decade plus, or if he was a significant reason Kennedy was so successful.

Yep, that's a good point. He certainly had a hand in recruiting those players.

I don't know. Most of their big gunners this past year were upperclassmen.

Maybe Isaiah Canaan would be willing to transfer and sit out a year.

    One can hope, right?

That's not how it works. If he did, he would be accused of tampering at best. And that's something we do not need.

At best, we could only hope for recruits that have not yet signed with Murray St. So you need to look at who he's recruiting currently, not who is already there.

Rivals lists two 3-star guys who have committed to Murray State, but not signed. One is a PG who with listed offers from Miami, VCU, ECU and Wichita State.
