“I’ve got to look out for my best interests,” Green said. “I’m not going to say I’m leaving.

“I’m going to give the new guy a chance and see who they’re hiring and sit down and talk with them. If we fit, we fit. If not, … I’m not ruling out [leaving] at all.

“They’re going to hire a great coaching staff. I’m going to give them a shot, see what they have to say, and if we fit each other’s system, fine.”

That sounds pretty unsure to me. Don't get bogged down in the semantics on this one. Green is on the record as being unsure if he'll stay.

I support Jim Weaver 100% in this. I am very sad that it was necessary to do what he did, but it was necessary.
It's been a few weeks since they left. Obviously Weaver had been thinking about this for awhile. It would have been nice to let Greenberg know what's going on. I am not mad that Greenberg was fired, I am mad at the complete lack of professionalism in the way he was fired. This was a complete d!*k move by Weaver and the athletic dept. Sorry you didn't like Greenberg, but the way you fired him goes against all the family bs that came out of your mouth.

Alright, I shouldn't have put quotations on unsure. Sue me. You know what he meant, and he IS UNSURE about his future here. Thanks for wasting both of our times for nothing but being nit picky about an individual word

Here's the thing, though. It's pretty clear that if Seth STAYED ... we'd have a cheap no-name coach and staff and very few quality players on the team. Only it'd be in 2014 and one less year of recruiting to try to make up for it.

But this reads a little differently then Green saying he is looking to leave which is what you initially said.

“I’ve got to look out for my best interests,” Green said. “I’m not going to say I’m leaving."
“I’m going to give the new guy a chance and see who they’re hiring and sit down and talk with them. If we fit, we fit. If not, … I’m not ruling out [leaving] at all.

Ok, looking "into" leaving. He specifically mentioned leaving as a definite possibility. Why are you all obsessing over an individual word or two when the meaning is EXACTLY the same?

Like we did when we hired Seth. Give it time...you might just fall in love with the next coach as you did Seth. So negative. Need to work on that attitude...it will just hold you back in life.

You really think we were going to lose all these players this off-season if even Seth had been kept?

I'm tired of all the "family" bs too. If they put dysfunctional in front of family, then I would be more comfortable with them mentioning "family" all the time. Every college athletics program is saying "Family" and "Nation" these days.
