Not good for #Hokies. RT @scoutsfocus: Montrezl Harrell, VT's top signee, will "probably" seek his release according to his Father.
No real surprise. With zero coaches on staff I expect to lose a few recruits and some current players unless Weaver can bring a big name into the fold quickly.

True, but honestly we don't have a single coach to re-recruit the guy. Very common for recruits to seek releases when the coach who recruited them is fired/moves on.

Good point. Wonder if TG and JW are urging him to show up? Can they even do that? Can Erick Green, who's going to stay thru the hiring?

Grow up. It had to be done. If that means we lose out on a recruit, so be it. But the program was headed in the wrong direction. When you get to the point where you can't find good assistant coaches who want to come to work at an ACC program because the head man has developed a reputation as being an impossible boss, you have to make a change.

    Grow up?

The way we fired Greenberg was not only classless but extremely detrimental to the program considering how long it took after the season ended.

Yep, JW handled this thing in an immature, unproffesional, and classless way.

Did you even bother to listen to the press conference yesterday? The idea had been to give Seth another year. But once assistants Ehsan and JJ left and with Richardson on the verge of leaving, at that point it simply didn't make sense to hang on to Seth for another season.

I support Jim Weaver 100% in this. I am very sad that it was necessary to do what he did, but it was necessary.

It's been a few weeks since they left. Obviously Weaver had been thinking about this for awhile. It would have been nice to let Greenberg know what's going on. I am not mad that Greenberg was fired, I am mad at the complete lack of professionalism in the way he was fired. This was a complete d!*k move by Weaver and the athletic dept. Sorry you didn't like Greenberg, but the way you fired him goes against all the family bs that came out of your mouth.
