Looks like its still been an event with the amount of commits coming in. The spring game is an event at VT, it's just a day in cville. That was the point. If anything, today has confirmed that.

When did 8 high quality recruits commit?
I have seen one "high" quality recruit commit. Not complaining about the commits. But if you are gonna label a recruit as high quality, then they at least have to have a couple big time offers, or a bunch of offers or at least had a great showing at a couple of these camps. Hodges is deff high quality. Don't think you can objectively say that about the rest. Originally Posted by tallahasseehokie

I heard one of the staff say that this year the staff had to be sure that anyone who they offered was one they really wanted, given the lesser number of scholarships. Jake Grove and John Engleberger didn't have five stars but we'd all offer them again. TT was#1 in VA but #30 Russell Wilson wasn't so bad, either. I trust the staff on this.
