The Nats pitching has been amazing. Unfortunately, they just don't have the firepower at the plate. I look for them to contend next year if they can get another good stick in the lineup besides Harper who will be up later this year.

Was at the game tonight ... man that was some sparse attendance.

I think Zimmerman and Espy will pick it up, and when they get Morse back midseason, that could be a nice little boost (plus Storen).

I'm not as high on Harper coming up this year after seeing how he's struggling against AAA pitching. He may be a September callup only.

But yeah, ALL pitching -- starting and bullpen -- has been amazing. Rodriguez just baffled 'em tonight, and Zimmerman was on once again.

Morse will be back, Zim is heating up, nothing to worry about

Well, they still will need a bit more at the plate, but I think they are for real. When you can consistently hold teams to 3 runs or less, you will win a lot of baseball games.

That's easy to do when you've played 4 bad teams, which are a combined 18-30. Only the Mets are above .500, and that won't last.

To be fair, that's only 15-20 when taking out the games against the Nats. Not great, but not horrible.
