Bit my tongue on this but enoughs enough. Granted I'm not of fan of his shtick to begin with but my opinion doesnt matter. When this many players and coaches leave its a problem. Period. Assistant pay could be a factor but that obviously is not the main issue. The dude is kyrptonite. Runs people away. Not a fit for VT. Like someone said before, if you are going to be that kind of divisive coach, you damn well better win big. And he hasn't. Never has in his career. Hope he is on his way out

Everyone senses the downward trajectory, a veritable sinking ship.

You can't blame young coaches for staying a step ahead of the axe.

Never have liked his personality, coaching style, in-game demeanor, and his W/L results. Time for a change.

Yes, it is time for a change. The captain of the ship will be the last to go down and I sure hope it is soon.

Though Seth has his faults, I think Seth is still looking to go to SMU and that is why the assistants have to look elsewhere....just in case.

Maybe he'll get the SMU job. I hope he does.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn definitely at some point that Seth was courting SMU, but right now it's not a fact. I also suspect, but don't actually know, that SMU wasn't interested. Logic tells me that Seth isn't a hot commodity right now. To become one the team has got to really perform next season, and I don't predict that will happen.

Pay is a factor in the assistants' departure. Other forces may well be at work here as well. However, although I'm not a fan of either Seth or Weaver, I don't feel comfortable speculating about other factors which may be involved at this time.

What was the tenure of his assistants at LBSU and USF?

I have to agree. Talk around campus for a while is that he has problems with both his players and coaches. I really didn't want to believe it. But, the signs are there. I don't know if any of our assistants would be considered exceptional, but when you can't seem to keep ANYONE on your staff, your players hate you, and you don't win enough, that brings me to a logical conclusion to this situation. I wonder what Jim Weaver thinks?
