but his assistants leave for the same reason Groh's assistants left him...he is horrible to work for.
Beamer's assistants stay because they feel like he respects them. It is an adult to adult relationship. With Seth he is the king and you are the servant...just like Groh. Most of Beamer's assistants could make more money, but they love the work atmosphere he creates. You guys and Weaver can put your head in the sand, but Greenberg is Virginia Tech's Al Groh and the longer we keep him the longer we are almost good...just like Groh.

I haven't been a big proponent of our basketball coaching but it is hard to ignore the lack of financial commitment of the athletic department to the assistant basketball coaches. I have not read anything from the departed coaches after they left that substantiates your claim.

The whole thing is too little too late, and then not even addressing the source of the problem. I expect a program that wants someone with ties to 757 talent will be snagging John Richardson very soon, leaving Seth with 3 assistant positions to fill, as well as 3 scholarships unfilled.
