Seth Greenberg is Virginia Tech's Al Groh!!!!! You can put your head in the sand,

but his assistants leave for the same reason Groh's assistants left him...he is horrible to work for.

Beamer's assistants stay because they feel like he respects them. It is an adult to adult relationship. With Seth he is the king and you are the servant...just like Groh. Most of Beamer's assistants could make more money, but they love the work atmosphere he creates. You guys and Weaver can put your head in the sand, but Greenberg is Virginia Tech's Al Groh and the longer we keep him the longer we are almost good...just like Groh.

More like Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

If this doesn't scream at folks in VT's administration, I don't know what will.

    I'm not sure that's true.

Not to defend Seth but his assistants are paid in the lower third of all the acc.... While franks assistants are paid in the top 20 in the country. Money does matter.

Its Seth's job to advocate for his assistants if he feels they are underpaid. Don't all managers have to do that? I know I do.

I haven't been a big proponent of our basketball coaching but it is hard to ignore the lack of financial commitment of the athletic department to the assistant basketball coaches. I have not read anything from the departed coaches after they left that substantiates your claim.

Weaver committed today to paying VT's 3 assistants an amount equal to what Clemson pays, and also tried to match Clemson's offer to JJ

Yeah I just wandered over to Teel's tweets. I think part of the problem is you can't be $45K off the mark to begin with. By the time you are trying to counter offer, it is already too late.

The whole thing is too little too late, and then not even addressing the source of the problem. I expect a program that wants someone with ties to 757 talent will be snagging John Richardson very soon, leaving Seth with 3 assistant positions to fill, as well as 3 scholarships unfilled.
