The issues isn't football its how large a portion they want to take down. The building took less than an 1 acre of forest. The football teams is probably going to take 13 acres of that forest down. There are other places to build it if they want it. Build it in a parking lot like the South Endzone lot and put a parking garage next to it.
It needs to be closer to the football complex. Maybe it could be a combination SEZ addition and field house.
