I think any year would be the year to turn down the CBI. Cville provided the financial reason, although it seems to not matter to some. Those same people forget how Greenberg personally arranged for several thousand tickets to be given away to students for our hosted NIT games in three different years, just so the attendance wouldn't be embarrassing.
If we were stupid enough to host a CBI game, you can be assured we wouldn't have 2000 people in attendance, even if student tickets were free, which they aren't.
There is no advantage to playing in the CBI. None.
Depends on the year and the team. Some teams, absolutely. This year and this team? Not at all. But other times you want those extra week or two of practice and getting the players playing together more.
