Jenis Grindtaff (as stated below) He was a very good basketball player. That was before the internet was popular, but I heard a lot of talk about that situation from people close. Jenis felt he was better than our other players and felt VT was holding him back (maybe it was?). The comments from the rest of the players was that he was very good, but very cocky. I know he transferred to Tennessee, and then had a couple of personal tragedies. He was injured very bad, and that set his career back. It was something like a broken leg, but I can't remember for sure. And then something happened to his parents. I can't recall the full story, but both were either seriously injured or killed in an accident. I think all that happened after he left.

When he left, there were a lot of hard feelings. A lot.
