i mean some people are acting like them winning yesterday is the end of the world or something, i wasnt on the board all yesterday...but reading some of the topics...it looks like a meltdown that you see after we lose.

Me too. When defending Seth, someone comes back with a smart@ss comment like "well you don't have to worry about Seth being in the tourney".... then that gets responses like "LOL! so true!" .... I know no one admits it but damn I swear some of our fans cheer against Seth because they'd rather see him ousted than succeed as our bball coach (maybe because he's from NY? because he's jewish?). A local team wins... makes Seth look bad (even though we beat them this season). An ACC team loses.... makes Seth look bad. A different ACC team wins... makes seth look bad (if they can do it why can't we?)....
Its March Madness. Cant we all just have fun watching these games and not worry about how it makes VT (or seth) look? Seth doesn't look too concerned ab these other teams.... it is great seeing him happy and loose on the ESPN set (while sounding like a very smart bball guy analyzing these games) as opposed to the painful look our close losses usually give him

Just can't help myself,
but folks who think Seth has badly underperformed over the last several seasons are not antisemitic, nor are they opposed to native New Yorkers. Quite frankly, you owe an apology to many folks who read this forum for making such outrageous and untrue claims. One thing you posted is quite correct. We certainly don't have to worry about Seth being in the tourney.

That is a lame reply, which one could almost infer that a vicious smear contained in that post is OK with you. And I am not talking just about New Yorkers.
I would hope that no one would do anything but denounce what NC87 has opined as motives of others on this board concerning CSG's origin of birth or religious affiliation.
It is way over the line.
Those that are not in the tank for CSG have, for the most part, clearly stated why we are not in the tank for CSG, and there is just no room for misunderstanding our positions, or inferring such insidious, dastardly, and demeaning character assassinations.
It is remarkable that NC87 just can't understand why others have a differing opinion than his, given the well stated position of others.
NC87 should edit his post, IMHO, so as to remove these offensive remarks.
It is the most disgraceful thing that I have read on any board, much less a VT board.Last edited by VPI63; Mon Mar 19 2012 at 05:14 AM.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with the point about NC87's comments. But if his comments really are the "most disgraceful thing" that you have read on ANY board, you must not read much. And you're entitled to your response. But maybe he really ~does~ believe that prejudice and bias of some sort is behind the anti-Seth posts. Is he not entitled to express it in this forum? We're all grownups. Well...most of us are.
