    2. He thought because of his father's allegiance to VT he would accept a walk on. (didn't happen)

What I don't think he considered was the benefit of having an NBA player at all of our games and maybe even a few practices. Dell could have been a great resource to some of our young players, be it pearls of wisdom, confidence booster or just added moral support from a guy that has played in the NBA. CSG also didn't consider the satisfaction some of us fans would've had from getting to watch the son, of our best basketball player ever, play for VT.
If it was presumed he would sit on the bench how would the fans have gotten satisfaction wacthing him play?

We're talking semantics but whether or not you actually get game time you still play for the team. My guess is he would have found some time on the court.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure offering Steph would have been the gamble. MIGHT have paid off, but a gamble just the same at that point. And who knows if he would have been as good as a team player at VT as he was as a one man gang at Davidson.

Seth, who really isn't an ACC calibe rplayer (he can shoot okay but his myraid deficiencies are well hidden among the 5* players) wasn't even as good as his brother coming out so no one offered. When he loked to tranfer VT offered but for lots of reasons chose Duke.
Still amazed K offered him when he transferred. Seth C is clearly not Duke caliber. Was that just to take another slap at Seth Greenberg?

Not sure what you're talking about Wandering. Seth Curry was one of the best players in the ACC and was named 3rd team All Conference. He's pretty darn good. IMO, he's not close to being as good as his older brother, but there's no doubt he can play major college basketball.

Why would Duke select him over a Blue Chip freshman?

This is just a guess, but I doubt the possibility of disgruntled fans played any part of the Coach's decision. He offered both Curry's the chance to play at Tech. They declined.

Because he can play. He IS a blue chip player himself. He lit it up at Liberty and proved he could play. After that first year, several ACC schools wanted him, so it wasn't like Duke took a chance on an unknown. VT also pursued him vigorously. Both after that year at Liberty and while he was in high school (yes, we offered him a full 4 year ride).

Obviously, he didn't care about the possibility. That's what I said. He offered his first son only a walk on and that's my beef. By not offering the first son, Stephon sp? he alienated VT from the Curry's I believe. (of course this is only my speculation)
