Record is one way to look at things. Here is another. In the 7 tournaments post-expansion, Duke has won 5 and UNC has won 2. However, Seth has done a great job in getting VT to the ACCT semifinals. Here are the number of semi-finals appearances post-expansion:

The ACCT semis and finals are BIG GAMES. VT played in 3 semis in 7 years. A few more fun facts:
* In 2008, VT lost their toughest semi... to national #1 UNC on Hansbrough's buzzer beater. VT led that game most of the 2nd half. Had VT held on, they would have played Clemson in the finals... and Tobacco Road would have exploded off it's axis!
* While VT has been to 3 semis... the Hoos have not played in the ACCT semis since 1995, a 16 year drought. Think about how they must have enjoyed watching VT play in those 3 semis during this time
