Awesome job, Hokies.
Have to admit that I didn't expect that one.

Man, the play from EG, DFS, and CR was really inspiring tonight.......makes me feel better about next season......
The play from RB and JE though, man, the other guys REALLY had to pick them up offensively and defensively.......
The play from DH was about right.......ups and downs, but we would not have come close to winning it without him........please God, gift the Hokies a JUCO sharp shooter next season :-)"Don't give up......Don't ever give up." -- Jimmy V

Was it Eddie that was having trouble with the high ball screens on defense? It just seemed like when he was in our defense turned into swiss cheese.
We did a great job rebounding the ball tonight and getting position, that's why we received the benefit on a number of calls.
I'm really excited to see DFS's game as a senior.

Yes, JE cannot stay with his man and gets lost on ball screens. It is extremely frustrating just how out of position he gets. I just do not understand why there is such a disconnect on the defensive end. The same can be said for RB. RB and JE cannot play a full 35 seconds on the defensive end.
We did crash the boards tonight, and I loved the effort from DFS and CR. DFS is the type of player that can give you an extreme impact without scoring a lot of points. He is the type of player you LOVE to have when you have a big man, a shooter, and a guy that can handle the ball.........next year, the only thing we will be lacking is a shooter........"Don't give up......Don't ever give up." -- Jimmy V

I don't know. I have had the feeling (except after the last game) that this team was just damn tired of losing.
CSG said it best: "During the time outs, these guys were coaching themselves".
So they really wanted it bad. If they keep that kind of mindset, who knows what could happen?

Agreed, although that last 1:30 was more stressful than it should have been. Still, it was a very nice win against a pretty good team.
