Well, if there is a point, it should be that the number of injuries should be proportional to the time spent in practice vs. time spent in the game.
I cannot remember when a VT player suffered a season ending injury in a game, although I am sure that it has happened.
So if the ratio is 10 to 1, then we should have seen one of these season ending injuries in a game in the recent past.
{I do recall that Strickland of UNC) had one while playing us this year.}
The only other conclusion is that practice is much tougher on the players than what's required in a game or the assumptions are all wrong.
