I've said for years that Beamer is holding Stiney back. That's why Beamer always defends him to the max. Beamer knows it's Beamer's "fault" for the offense. This is Beamers team, he's the man.
When Beamer is no longer HC at VT, and the new HC, hopefully BF, gives Stiney some freedom - Stiney will surprise most Hokie fans.

How about Beamer is getting the max out of the whole but in doing so the O is playing a secondary roll to the D. Could it be that simple, that we can get better players for our D? We all agree that Beamer and Bud are among the best at coaching defense in all of cfb so why wouldn't you cover for not having enough to say play fun ball with the Miami and FSUs such that you play it just like we see it.
