VT, sporting a lone loss to open the season to a High Point varsity squad (3-0), has ripped off 6 consecutive wins and counting jumping 3 spots from #12 and into the top 10. They are now the highest ranked SELC team, jumping Clemson in the process. The other SELC teams registering in the national poll; #13 Clemson, #23 Georgia and #24 FSU. http://mcla.us/polls/
The Hokies are home for the next two weekends hosting a pretty good line up starting with South Carolina (3-2) this Saturday at 2:30. The Gamecocks only losses came to ranked opponents and have won all other match ups fairly decisively. Then a week to rest up before a tough stretch of 3 games in 3 days staring next Saturday (2pm)against the Richmond Speeiders (channeling Mega Mind)(4-1) followed by #23 UGA (9-1)on Sunday 25 Mar (1pm) wrapping with Missouri (4-0) on Monday 26 Mar.
That's no walk in the park with opponents sporting a combined 20-4 record coming to town. Should be really good lacrosse and a good test leading up to @ #11 SUNY Buffalo Sun 1 Apr. Buckle up butter cup and keep all hands and arms inside the car until the ride has come to a complete stop. GO HOKIES!
