My guess would also be bottom 4 play in extra first round on Wednesday to play against the #5/#6 seeds, instead of the 5/12, 6/11 matchups we have now. Expect absolutely no-one to attend those extra games though.

As heretical as this may sound, considering we were often the ones left out, I'm ok with the bottom two teams being left out of the ACC tournament. Look at the Big East tournament now with 16 participants. Their tourney starts TODAY and ends Saturday. Why even play in the NCAAs afterwards? It's gotten ridiculously out of hand. Not sure the exact format but I recall the league announcing that tourney play would have an extra day on wednesday, and that all teams would be participating in some configuration. Originally Posted by vt88hokie
