I actually think EG would benefit playing off the ball since his strength is scoring instead of setting others up

Rankin, Green, DFS, Barksdale, Raines (is my hope): Eddie may not embrace the role, but if he did, the 6th man might be good for him. He's got endless potential offensively, but IMO, needs to make strides, defensively, this off season. That, combined w/the fact that we NEED more size on the court...

As of now I wouldn't be comfortable with anyone else at point but Green. To me the lesser of 2 evils is Green at point and Brown or someone else at 2. If you put Green at 2 I think you might unravel at point.
Regardless, SG needs to get EG out of combo-guard purgatory.Last edited by 133743Hokie; Mon Mar 05 2012 at 10:26 AM.

1: EG
2: I just have no idea
3: JE
4: DFS
5: CR
If we put Brown in the 2 spot, he will have to make SIGNIFICANT strides over the offseason. Second, DFS will have to learn to create his own shot and get to the basket. If those two things don't happen, we will likely be worse than we were this season."Don't give up......Don't ever give up." -- Jimmy V

Watch out for Harrell. Will come in relatively mature. Might end up being the go-to guy we need.

I think our best shot is if the light comes on for Rankin between year 1 and year 2 like it did for Green and like it does for a lot of kids at that stage. It didn't for Garland, but I think it will for Rankin. My guess is Rankin and Green play in the backcourt with Brown as a 3-man rotation. In the front court, I think it will be Eddie, DFS, and Raines, with Harrell and Barksdale forming a 5-man rotation.
If Raines, DFS, Brown, Barksdale and Rankin continue to develop, (certianly Raines and DFS were showing signs at the end of the season) then we will have a pretty decent 8-man rotation. Probably a 19-21 win team, with our traditional right-on-the-bubble ranking.
