Maybe a better coach or a coach that achieves results by being unethical. I want no part of the latter coach. Be careful what you wish for.....

not to mention the ACC refs K carries in his hip pocket.....I don't think we would get that treatment at Tech

The same because he would have back surgery and leave the team to a respected assistant

I'd like to think we could hire a promising young guy with a good coaching pedigree, a 55% winning pct with about 5 years head coaching experience under his belt...who might turn into something special...you know, kinda like Duke did.
but are we going to hire someone comparable to today's Coach K? of course not.

Anything can happen but the odds are against it.
All you need to do is get the stars out of your eyes about how attractive our job is.
I know "officially" Weaver said Seth was our first choice or first contact but way too many others were "linked" to and said no thanks to our job.
The odds are if we replace Seth we will replace him with someone of the standing Seth had when he came here or someone green as grass who is not on the radar of any other ACC or ACC type school.
A Jim Larranaga type would be about the best we could hope for.

I'll take Larranaga. He's made more Sweet 16's (at George Mason) than Greenberg or Virginia Tech.
