Is UVA really a lock if they lose last 3 and go 21-10 (8-9)? it's not likely, but plausible....they could still get the #4 seed at 8-8 and lost in the quarters

No. We're a lock if the season ended today (RPI 38, , 8-5 road/neutral record, 7 top 100 wins - 9 if MD/VT can move up a slot or 2, and only one bad loss @ Clemson again if VT can get into the top 100). If we were to lose out we'd still be in the discussion but probably on the wrong side of the bubble, mainly due to losing 4 in a row and going 0-fer against UNC/Duke/FSU. That said I think we win 2, maybe 3 more and will end up with a seed in the 6-8 range.

Yeah, there's no way you're going to lose to FSU at home, imo, and then you're probably got about an 80% chance of winning at least 1 more game (@MD, ACCT quarterfinal). Lose to FSU and the collar might start to get a little tight. But, honestly, I think even if you lose to FSU, MD, and BC (or whomever) in the 5 vs. 12 game of the ACC tourney, you'll still probably get in. The jury is in on you guys. People have decided UVa is a tournament team this year. Losing at this point will hurt your seed, but I don't see you falling below a play-in game at the absolute worst.

Your OOC SOS could cause a bit of concern if you only win one more...win more than one more probably good to go...plus you guys not likely to get hosed by the Wake Forest AD (or whoever reps the ACC).
