Also, best effort by a Hokie team in recent memory. Left absolute nothing on the floor.

No legs played a factor in missing those free throws.

Wish we could put the mindset in a bottle for the rest of the year.

    Would be hard to beat.

I feel badly for the players.

Perhaps but FSU looked largely disinterested and when they were interested, they were so sloppy. I do credit the zone and the stalling too as it almost worked.

Silly post. First of all - FSU played terrible for 35 minutes. There were more unforced turnovers in that game than any I've seen this year.

We had some good stretches, and a solid defensive game plan - no doubt about that.

If you don't finish then it doesn't count for much. A loss is a loss

Not a CSG fan. I call them like I see them, and you have to give credit where credit is due.

I thought our length and execution in our zone defense gave Florida State fits. There were a few unforced turnovers in there, but countless others where FSU tried to pass into our zone and our defense deflected the ball or FSU tried to drive into the zone and our zone did a good job of collapsing without giving a clean passing lane. I realize that some teams are easier to zone than others, but I think we could be a pretty successful zone team against most opponents with that type of effort and execution.

Seth's always at his best when at a disadvantage or backed up against a wall.

Case in point, I thought last year's NIT game against Wichita State was his best coached game. We had walk-on Paul Debnam guarding their 7'1 center, and still forced OT, only to lose by an improbable 3 pointer. Seth does a fantastic job of coaching his guys up to the occasion as underdogs.

I agree. I was expecting a 20+ point loss. FTs were the dagger.

Seth talked about showing the Jeremy Lin interview - talked about energy and team. Something clicked. I felt really bad but they have to feel good when they feel better. It should galvanize them as a team. Even Barksdale goes and dresses out to be a body on the floor. We are Virginia Tech! But THEY get the accolades. It was their blood, sweat and tears.

That was a treble coached game... He is so bad and I refuse to care untill he is sent home in a flight. He can't coach... That's a fact... No defender can give an excuse. To blow two 15 or lead with pathetic stall offense is blind. Every ACC coach would be sent to the conference USA with this season. Weaver is to busy counting pennies to do what's best for VT basketball

We went from short bench to no bench. Players crampimg up, dragging themselves off the floor. No legs left even with the stall cost us the FT and the game. TREMENDOUS effort!

Coach game plan and game decisions were almost perfect for the situation.

And I don't defend CSG, BTW.
