I thought we played great tonight, especially considering no big men but we obviously choked down the stretch at the line.
That aside, who else KNEW, without a doubt, that when Brown missed both free throws, that they were gonna hit a three? Not claiming to be Nostradamus, but I did. I was absolutely positive they weren't gonna drive for a layup, because that's our luck, they always hit the game winner against us. I'm amazed when it doesn't happen.
Sucks, but that's how it seems to be; like I said earlier tonight, I'm not comfortable until we're winning 1 full second AFTER the clock hits triple 0's.
We're gonna be good next year, just you watch....Go Hokies!!
I wasn't even mad about the game....which is unusual. I just felt sorry for the team, and coaches, because I knew it would unfold almost exactly as it did. As soon as the team starting pulling back offensively (5 minute mark?), I knew we were in trouble. What's the point in trying to protect a 10 point lead with 5 minutes left?
Our lack of aggression gave them a chance to slowly come back, because we became stagnant offensively. Just ridiculous
