I heard something last night that disturbed me. JE doesn't have enough shots to qualify for the 3-pt % rankings in the ACC. This is the 2nd year in a row that we've found ourselves in mid-February with a guy who could be in the conference rankings as a long-distance shooter who wasn't getting enough shots (last year it was Atkins). It was slightly more understandable last year, but for what possible reason are we not able to get Eddie more decent looks from outside the arc this year? Is he not working hard enough to get shots? Is he not "shot-ready" when he catches the ball?
I called for a "Senior Night" style play to get DF-S started against Clemson. He got it to open the game and it worked. Now I'm calling for JE Night against BC on Sunday. I want an entire half devoted to getting that jabroni open on the perimeter. Let's see if he can fill it up if given the opportunity to shoot 10 or 12 treys. I mean, what else are we doing in our half-court offense that could be considered higher priority right now? (I'd like to get the ball to Raines and Davila more on the low block, too, I guess.)
