I am more concerned with TSL's success than whether Seth Greenberg remains VT's BB

coach(which by the way I think he will). TSL and it's ancestor Hokie Central have been a valueable part of my VT sports experience. It's who I rely on for VT information. The boards may not have always been factual but in the end I have been able to gain more insight into the VT situation.
So it bothers me that views are down. TSL is a business and businesses need revenue. Seth has his $1.2 million and Beamer his $2+ million, not to mention VT. I cannot see my VT experience improved without TSL.
So I'm happy to subscribe, not because of the articles and content(which are very, very good), but to help in a small way to assure the continued sucess of TSL.
We asked for a new format, criticized the delayed implementation and now the product. I've had a few difficulties, not to mention the worst of which is being called an idiot for not understanding the new format. So call me what you like(I can handle it), but I'm sticking with TSL no matter what.

Will needs to be fired. How many times were we promised changes? This site has been promised changes year after year. Sure we've seen some upgrades and we have a new board now that's ahead of many vBulletin sites, but we've lost so much of what we had and lost a lot of what made TSL stand out from other VT message boards. TSL has outgrown Will and needs a new direction. TSL shouldn't have problems breaking news and attracting the best posters and biggest advertisers all while staying ahead of the curve with regards to message board software. It's unfortunate that we're tied to and held down by the likes of Le Scissors. That is unacceptable for any VT message board. I'm not sending TSL any money until changes are made. I will continue to be a free user of this site and complain about access, content and anything else I can think of. I want an avatar and the ability to rep or negative rep posts. I want my join date to be 1872.

Simple solution. Go back to a board that's easy to navigate.

I still don't understand what's so difficult to navigate about a topic/linear view board.

Essentially every other message board on the internet uses a similar format.

I think you have several things in play here...1st some people don't like change esp. people who are tech challenged. The only message board I look at is this one..so what other boards look like or do is not of concern to me. 2nd the first week of the new board was frustrating..again the tech challenged and infrequent viewers give up maybe not for good but 3rd football's over (the main draw) so I would expect they will come back over time as spring football heats up and then the anticipation of the coming season. Just my opinion things will pick up but might take a while.

How are you viewing the boards? Threaded view? Topic view? Threaded view is basically the same as the old TSL. Same functions, etc. Sure, it looks different, but it's no different than cars getting a different body style as the years go by.

It baffles me everytime someone says that. If you are using threaded view and sort by thread start date it is almost indistinguishable from the old site. Yet people claim it's different. Really baffling.

This is KEY. Threaded view really isn't any different than the old TSL. I don't understand why everyone is having such difficulty. I say that WADR.
