Manual, "ignored" posts should disappear, period. How is it that TSL's is not so configured?

If you look at it in linear mode, it does work that way. Here's a pic of linear mode, where I have added "Wandering Hokie" and "public knowledge" to my ignore list, to show you what it does:

You can tell that they posted, but all content is removed.
It gets back to what I said about vBulletin operating better in its native topic/linear format. Using it in threaded mode, with an after-market threaded mode plugin, causes it to "fudge" and not operate optimally.Always use "Reply With Quote", so everyone knows to whom you're responding.

Actually it doesn't work that way, if "that way" is the total invisibility apparently achievable in that vBulletin link. Not to beat the dead horse of "previous boards format", but a poster selected for ignoring does not disappear completely, just that poster's post content.
