Getting Caleb is huge. I was worried about WVU (especially after the Orange Bowl) and OSU (with Urban Meyer becoming coach).
I'm guessing that he plays as a freshman?

Well we need to start passing more. VT needs to throw more on 1st down and in the red zone. Other schools do it, and Caleb will get tired of not getting the ball. We have a big time QB, throw the ball Beamer...throw the ball. I think we lost the Clemson games because we did not throw more and mix it up with the play option, use the talents you have to the best of the coaches ability and especially the talented players.

Especially since we will be very young at tailback. We will be fine but next year could be a trial and error to find that guy

I'm not sure he'd play as a freshman...hes not going to beat out Roberts, Davis, and Coles, I don't think...and we have a couple other young bucks in the mix. We'll see I suppose....

They all need breathers. If he's as advertised, I think he has to play.

Can't fault a kid for signing with Alabama... just surprised when a guy like Kirven has a chance to stay in state at VT, where he could probably make an immediate impact.. with guys who he played with in high school.
Oh well though.. I'd rather have the kids who really want to be at VT. Good luck to Kirven at Alabama. I'd rather not give him the satisfaction of having Hokie fans talking about it for days.
