He hasn't had the best of luck with the injury bug...I cant help but wonder how this team would fair with a healthy JT and Chaney..Hokies have been competitive in almost every game..

yep, 6/9 losses have been by 4 points or less. You tell me how much better we would be with one or two post players.

Probably 3-4 of those losses would be erased with those post players...the majority of the offense in the post this year has been putrid.

Agree 100%...JT's minutes would over take some of the minutes the younger guys who have been struggling are playing and Chaney is an exceptional talent that would be playing a lot of minutes as well. Probably a top 4 ACC team with those guys this year.

JTT and AC would add depth, but beyond that, who knows what they would add? JTT is no game changer. He is not a scorer and this team needs someone who can SCORE. As for Chaney, who knows how good or bad he would have been. At the same time, does it really matter? He was not able to dress for us. Let's not make him out to be Larry Bird or Steve Urkel. I think CSG has enough "talent" out there right now to show us something, so if he has "it" he will show "it"......

Why don't all of Duke's players get injured every single year? Do we really play a tougher brand of hoops then they do? At some point there's more to injuries than luck - kids aren't taking care of themselves in conditioning, nutrition, medical or other terms which leads to injuries. I'm thinking it's a character problem (bad judgement in some area(s)) as much as bad luck given the level of our injury problems. I'm not saying there aren't some good kids getting injured but...

They do get injured....the difference is that K just looks down the bench and picks another Parade All-American to replace him. We don't have that luxury.

On the other hand...
I don't think too many other teams would necessarily be crippled by the loss of (a) an undersized power forward who was, at best, the first frontcourt player off the bench during the first 3 years of his career, and (b) a guy who never played a single minute for this current team and who did not exactly set the world on fire at his previous school.
