Have you read the Help/FAQ, board primer, and tips and tricks? Not to mention vBulletin has a HUGE FAQ built in.
People have complained that they "shouldn't have to learn how to use a message board", but if you take a little time to study it, you unlock some great capability.

Not only less interesting, but a whole lot less posts. Plus it takes longer for everything to load. It mostly makes me feel like no one else is out there. Front page is boring, and everything is dull and sterile feeling. Sorry Will, hope you don't loose advertisers because of slow traffic. This now feels like copy cat of scout (college) boards. Not inviting.

Let me add that I find myself going to the UVa board more frequently to read about what is going on at VT simply (1) more post (2) easier flow of conversation.
