Just curious... All of you (and you know who you are) that poo-pooed Malcolm Delaney
I remember people saying how much "more enjoyable" the season would be with out him...
Having fun yet?
Delaney has more toughness in him than this entire team combined.

Mr. Coleman, what our your thoughts regarding Cville's coaching prospect posts?

My #1 choice would be Gregg Marshall. I think we'd improve from an X's and O's standpoint. That UNLV team that whipped UNC...they were beaten by 20 by Wichita State.
After that, I'm not really sure. But I would have major concerns about getting rid of Seth. Weaver has Parkinson's, he's in bad shape with his back surgeries, and he's a football guy? How much energy could he put into a coaching search if needed? And even if he had energy, he's a football guy? Can he make a good hire? He's the guy who hired Stokes and Dunkenburger, and he sort of lucked into Seth. And Dennis Wolff may or may not work out, but I don't think anyone can say that Weaver put forth a huge effort to find a new coach.
I'm afraid he'd take the easy way out and get Ron Everhart, because he could get him for relatively cheap, and he wouldn't have to work hard to get him. I like Ron, he's a solid coach who turns around bad programs. But that's the same as Seth Greenberg. And Ron has NEVER made the NCAA Tournament.

Not sure if you didn't read the post he's referring to, but I don't think he was asking who you'd want. I think he was asking your opinion on Cville's post that the VT coaching job, should it open after this season, would not be an easy sell to those we'd want. I believe he specifically mentioned Marshall as someone he spoke with and who expressed less than expected interest.

here it is Chris....
per cville: Being in the know on this I have no problem telling you that successful mid-major coaches aren't interested in the VT job. I know both of those coaches above and don't think either would take this position, I also think if personality is a criteria against Greenberg that Marshall isn't even going to be considered. Both of those guys now have packages around 1 million a year and I think VT would have to offer at least twice that to even have a chance to be honest and I can't see that happening here.
