My guess would be because they're gutless hypocrites and they all live at least four hours from Blacksburg and they never actually attend any basketball games in Cassell. They're the same ones who were such avid fans of VCU (because many of them actually graduated from VCU but chose VT to cheer in football)and it isn't 'convenient' for them to actually buy season tickets.

That's just my opinion, of course...
