Tight match, with some last-second comebacks by Hurd and Dickson helping pull it out for the Hokies. Yates was apparently injured in Friday's ISU match and didn't go today.

Yates landed hard on his shoulder during his match with ISU's Sorenson. He was in pain most of the match. The reversal he got to avoid a TF was heroic.
Conditioning was a factor for NCS, and Hurd and Dickson benefited from that. Moon almost won, too....as Godley was gassed.
Ty Mitch still looks slowed by his shoulder. Spjut probably is our best guy, unless Garnett pulls off his shirt.

Neibert had a little fun in his match against Little on Sunday -- he had to take an injury timeout with one of his fingers bent at a very odd angle. (I did NOT need to see that.) I think that got Little his first point, because he was able to restart on bottom and got an escape.

Little is strong.....but I don't think we saw Zach's full arsenal.

Stephens has beaten Palmer before....he's exposing his back way to often. He's also taking way too long to finish his shots. I think we might see either Hurd (if Yates is back) or Mears at 157 next weekend.
Brascetta looked good on Sunday.

Clearly Mitch has a ways to go before he's 100%. Garnett won't burn the shirt at this point. It'd be a waste, particularly if Dong and Marone will be back next season (which I expect that they will).

Agree on Stephens. He's got some bad habits that he got away with in high school that are going to take a little time to get rid of.
Not a surprise. Not having Jesse to work out with on the mat is too bad. Development tends to accelerate when you're getting worked.

Great point. Stephens was beating guys like Palmer in open tourneys before Jesse got hurt.
