Not irrelevant. Tech had a good and growing program 50's through 80's but suffered when $$/tv exposure become more important. Decades of being an independant or conference affiliations that desintegrated (METRO) or were not good fits A10 & BE cost the program. Couple that with the normal challenges of building a program and the occassional bad hire (Stokes) you can dig a big hole to climb out of.
Being int he ACC makes us relevant. The BB future at VT is bright...with and without SG.
I'm genuinely curious...where would you rank our program's ceiling/prospects for success vs. the rest of the ACC? This has nothing to do with our current team or coach. Where do you think we are in the natural pecking order of the ACC, 1-12 (soon to be 14)?
