Yes
I have one but haven't used it yet so I don't have a review for you.
I'm going to mount mine on a Polaris RZR.

A friend took one on the Roanoke Ski Club Tall Ship Cruise in December. It took great
photos and movies. His underwater pics were very clear but as you know, colors are filtered out by the water and he didn't use the flash so everything was a greenish blue. The advantage, of course, is that it is tiny and you can strap it on, and not hold a movie camera even though they are smaller than they used to be. We also got one but haven't used it much yet. The crazy guy I live with wants to use it to record his ski runs and auto racing laps. A hand-held movie camera might give you better resolution but if you have a specialty need where you want to mount it, under water, racing, bicycling, they are very cool.

If you do check out the following.
http://goprouser.freeforums.org/index.php
There are tons of users on there with tips, etc. I have not shot underwater but I know there are some edge effects that distort the video if you use the standard case. (fish bowl maybe?) There are other cases or add-ons that remove the issue with shooting underwater.
I don't find the videos hard to edit, I do find that I hate my version of iMovie so I will probably be getting Final Cut sometime later this year. The editing of the HD has nothing to do with the camera, the videos it shoots are awesome.
Another cool feature is you can set it to shoot pictures every X seconds so you can shoot some cool events that way. Just set it up, let it take 500+ pics and set them to music.

I went out and picked up the HD Hero2 outdoor edition and took it to Whitetail ski resort yesterday. I filmed one of my friends runs and edited music and text into the video. It worked great though i found out when i got home I need to adjust the fps settings. I just held it by hand yesterday because i was still unsure of what mounts I wanted to purchase. This thing will end up being a lot of fun. Thanks for the forum link, i have found some useful information there as well.
