I'm the exact OPPOSITE. Use Topic View for the board and view posts in Threaded View. Using linear view within posts jumbles everything up. You see all the replies in the order they were posted and completely jumbled up with respect to the thought process. For example, in linear view this will be the fifth post in the thread and it will be under a post which may be totally unrelated to my thoughts. However, by viewing in threaded format, I can see that this post is intended to be a reply to Gotham's original post and actually has nothing to do with any of the other thoughts expressed on the topic, and I like it that way!
I'm finding that the linear view is preventing me from following a chain of thought, where thread view let's me see what messages relate to each other. MUCH easier to follow a conversation IMO.
