But after missing on last season’s Sugar Bowl because of legal issues, Journell’s right foot delivered Virginia Tech its 20th straight bowl appearance with a clutch kick for the second time in two weeks. -

Tech keeps ASU at bay
With five minutes to play, Appalachian State’s Tab Hamilton lost the basketball at the top of the key and he and Virginia Tech’s Erick Green went for it. Green came up with the ball and raced up the floor, dogged by Hamilton, who appeared to grab Green’s jersey. -
Virginia Tech basketball beats Appalachian State for first 5-0 start since 1984-85
Virginia Tech’s Erick Green and Jarell Eddie have always been good friends off the floor, but their relationship has gone to another level since becoming roommates this year.
