Chick-fil-A Bowl

The Chick-fil-A Bowl is an annual college football game played in Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly known as the Peach Bowl, it is now sponsored by the fast food company which took over sponsorship in 1998. The bowl game has been played since 1968 and is now associated with the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeast Conference. In 2005 the game featured for the first time included two teams ranked in the top 10 at the end of the regular season.

While not as prestigious as some of the other bowl games, it has always been a competitive game to watch. Chick-fil-A bowl tickets range in price from under fifty bucks to game tickets costing thousands for luxury seats.

The game is not a member of BCS system but has still sold out for 12 straight years, only surpassing the television ratings for the BCS games, the Fiesta Bowl and the Gator Bowl which are both played on New Year's Day. Over the last 7 games the sponsors have donated more money for charity and scholarships than any other bowl game.

The game has hosted just about every major college football team. Some of the colleges represented include the University of Georgia, Louisiana State University, Auburn University, and Clemson University. Each year at the conclusion of the game the bowl committee has named a most valuable player. Some of the winners of the award include, Tiki Barber of the University of Virginia, Hines Ward from the University of Virginia, Eric Kramer of North Carolina State University, and Jim Kelly of the University of Miami Florida. All of whom played in the National Football league later in their careers.

The biggest blow out in the game was a contest between Louisiana State University and the University of Miami Florida. The score was a lopsided win for Louisiana State, winning by a score of 40-3. The closest game was a win by 1 point with Virginia Tech University beating North Carolina State University 25-24.

Because the game sells out every year, getting tickets is relatively difficult. For a non BCS game the annual contest is by many accounts the best college football game to attend. A great place to shop for these tickets is at Ticket City and you will be pleasantly surprised at the variety of seats and price ranges available to any eager college football fan.

Any college football game is accompanied by a remarkable display of off-the-field attractions. For any fan who wants to experience the magic of college football, this game is always one of the most competitive and fun games to attend.
