Burks enjoyed a stellar junior season, finishing 2011 with 128 tackles including 22 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. South County made it to the Group AAA Division 5 state title game before falling to Phoebus.
UPDATE: Burks verbally committed to Vanderbilt

Why didn’t he just go to Duke? Durham is a lot closer than Nashville. Maybe he likes country music…
Should players be allowed to have press conferences when they commit to Vanderbilt?
On a positive note, he’s gonna get a really good education. And he should win at least 12-15 games during his 4 years there.
I echo StevetheKing, Vandy? The guy must really like Nashville. Our DeCommit from a couple of years ago, Lafonte Thoroughgood, is now the 2nd String QB at Madison. May We never ever, “Forever and Ever,” lose somebody We want to Vandy, Amen.
He probably didn’t want to compete for a starting job at Tech or any other high profile school so he chose vandy…smh
He will get more playing time at Vandy is probably his thinking.. VT has been loaded with “Athletes” lately.
After visiting UCLA Burks finally picked (Vandy)
Looks like a pretty good offer list for the #25 recruit in Virginia.
It’s a pretty deep in-state class.

Will there be any online feed of announcement?
