You can already get an idea of which Freshmen and going to play by #’s. Caleb #15, Edmunds #14….guys going to take a shirt like Ekanem wearing # 4 which is already taken by Coleman and Stanford in # 2 which is already taken by Michael Cole.
Brown, Having the same number doesn’t mean you are going to red shirt. As long as the players with the same number aren’t on the field at the same time it is ok. You see LSU and Bama do this a long with guys on O and D.
I do however think the two you listed could end up taking a redshirt…with Stafford more likely to play.

I can see what people are saying about Ekanem – he looks really impressive for a true freshman just reporting.
Kyle Fuller looks like he has added quite a bit of muscle mass. It is hard to imagine how he might improve his game but he continues to just take care of business.
