South County (Lorton, VA) linebacker/safety Oren Burks has received scholarship offers from Syracuse and Vanderbilt, his father Orlanda reported in a text message.  The younger Burks, a 6’4″, 195-pound junior, now boasts 12 FBS offers in total:  Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Maryland, Nebraska, N.C. State, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Of the schools that have offered, Burks has visited Boston College, Duke, Maryland, N.C. State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
